Woodstock Festival Poland 2012 (Przystanek Woodstock 2012)

One of the biggest rock festivals in the world, Przystanek Woodstock has been organized at the former Polish-German border for 17 years. The free three-day event, always held at the end of July or the beginning of August, attracts almost 500. 000 people from all over Europe. At Woodstock there is only one big stage so the artists have a chance to play in front of half million audience – it’s a real blast!

It’s organizer, the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, is the biggest and most respected charity foundation in Poland, whose mission it is to provide Polish children’s hospitals with high-quality medical equipment. The Woodstock Festival is completely non-commercial. The rock’n’roll spirit from 40 years ago brings all kinds of music to our stage! All music genres are represented, from punk and grunge to heavy metal. We are personally responsible for safety and order at the festival. Our motto is „Stop drugs! Stop violence!” We guarantee professional camping sites (reserve at: www.toicamp.com.pl), sanitary equipment, medical care and catering facilities.

Apart from music, the festival features many artistic happenings and various NGOs including Green Peace and Amnesty International. The Academy of the Most Beautiful Arts is a crucial element of Przystanek Woodstock. It’s the place where various authorities, including journalists, TV people and celebrities come to talk to Woodstockians.
